# Atlas Overview

What is Atlas?

Atlas is a decentralized reserve asset designed to offer stability and growth, uniquely backed by wstETH and $PONZIE. By issuing bonds from wETH and employing a buyback strategy, Atlas grows its reserves and enhances value for token holders. The goal is assuring Atlas remains constantly in state where 1:1 redemptions can occur via POL (Protocol Owned Liquidity).
